Exclusive ‘Wire’ floor lamp by Verner Panton
Thanks to its timeless aesthetic, this floor lamp from 1980 complements many contemporary interior styles.
‘Wire’ consists of a tall, chrome-plated steel wire frame. Towards the top, it widens and transitions into an orange plastic hemisphere. The bulb is shielded towards the lampshade by a metal reflector, which is also hemispherical in shape. The light is thus emitted indirectly and is completely glare-free.
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was a Danish designer and architect whose creations, such as the Bachelor Chair, became world-famous. He was one of the first to introduce Pop Art into furniture design and often used plastic as a material, in every colour of the rainbow.
