Panto designer pendant light in spherical shape

The transparent acrylic that forms the outer shell of the Panto pendant light is completely spherical. The transparency of this shell reveals the internal system of reflectors that direct the light. Three white aluminium reflectors ensure glare-free light, which in the Panto model is mainly directed downwards. This pendant light is therefore particularly suitable for installation above a table, e.g. in the dining room.

Panto is a lamp model by Verner Panton (1926-1998), one of the most famous Danish designers of the 20th century, who was recognised and appreciated worldwide above all for his furniture, e.g. the Panton Chair from the 1960s. His enthusiasm for plastic also influenced the design of Panto, because the transparent sphere is not made of glass, as one might think at first glance, but of acrylic. He achieved great fame with his designs in the mid-20th century, and today his ideas are being reproduced by the Danish company VERPAN. Each light is engraved with his name and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
