The enchanting design of the La Belle Étoile LED ceiling light was inspired by the soft drape of a dancer’s ballet skirt and the natural perfection of a fresh bud. This ceiling light is ideal for use in the home, where it can provide stylish lighting whilst also serving as a decorative feature. La Belle Étoile was designed by the Italian designer Adriano Rachele. A qualified product designer, he began his career in 2007 in Slamp’s ‘Research & Development’ department. Since 2010, he has been regarded as a rising star in the Italian design world, and in 2012 he was honoured with the Red Dot Design Award for his design of the Veli ceiling light. His designs are characterised by uniqueness, technology and functionality, and are defined by soft, curved shapes.

Slamp, the Italian manufacturer of designer lights, is based in Rome and was founded in the early 1990s by Roberto Ziliani. The designer lights it produces are characterised by the use of proprietary materials that are robust and durable. The plastics Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex® are exceptionally malleable and create effects that would be impossible with other materials.
