Clizia wall light – from square to spherical

Many small squares come together to form a larger whole, creating a new shape: in this case, the spherical lampshade of the Clizia wall light. Opalflex®, the material from which the squares are made, is a combination of high-quality plastic and glass crystal. It boasts a light output every bit as fascinating as that of crystal. Among the advantages of Opalflex® is that it cannot break and is highly versatile in its application. In the Clizia wall light, the edges of the Opalflex® squares have been coloured using a screen-printing process. This creates beautiful interplay of light and colour when the light is switched on.

The extraordinary shape of this light makes it an absolute eye-catcher, whether mounted on the ceiling or wall. Its distinctly modern and innovative design captivates every observer, as it creates exceptionally atmospheric lighting.

The light is mounted on the wall using a practical magnetic system. This makes it easy to remove the lampshade, facilitating both the replacement of the bulb and the cleaning of the surfaces.

Visionary designer lights made in Italy – Slamp

The Italian design studio Slamp, based in Rome, was founded in the early 1990s by Roberto Ziliani. Ziliani was already working as a designer before he finally discovered his passion for the possibilities of light.

At Slamp, particular emphasis is placed on the development of innovative materials. Alongside natural and traditional materials such as leather, copper, crystal and stainless steel, Slamp therefore works with exclusive and proprietary patented materials such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®. These enable unique lighting effects to be achieved. Lentiflex®, for example, resembles water that changes colour depending on the angle from which it is viewed. These in-house developed materials and the lights created from them clearly showcase Slamp’s strengths. These include, amongst other things, a high degree of innovation, creativity and originality, as well as a superb understanding of the effect of light.
