High-quality designer pendant light ‘Aria’ – designed by Zaha Hadid

The striking ‘Aria’ pendant light impresses with its radial structure comprising 50 different ‘arms’, which create a three-dimensional form. The light, produced by Slamp, is crafted from specially manufactured materials. The Lentiflex® used ensures a warm and even light output, whilst the Cristalflex® lends this pendant light – made from a lightweight material – the elegance and preciousness of glass. This design piece can be used to create striking effects in both modern and timelessly furnished rooms.

The breathtaking design was created by the architect and Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate Zaha Hadid. The professor of architecture and designer is renowned for her extraordinary and dynamic forms. TIMES magazine has included her on its list of the “100 most influential people in the world”, and in 2012 she was appointed a “Dame Commander of the British Empire” by Queen Elizabeth II. Hadid’s style has been described by her business partner Patrik Schumacher as “the elegance of ordered complexity and the impression of seamless fluidity”, which would also correspond to “natural systems”.

The Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and places particular emphasis on the development of innovative materials. Accordingly, the company developed technopolymers. These materials make it possible to create shapes and effects that would seem impossible with other materials. The in-house developed plastics and the lights produced from them showcase Slamp’s strengths.
