Integrated twilight and motion sensor: the ZigBee-enabled Circula LED outdoor ceiling light with Turnable Warm
With its elegant and modern design, the splash-proof Circula LED outdoor ceiling light serves as a decorative feature in outdoor spaces, even when switched off. Control is handled by the integrated twilight sensor, which switches the light on when it gets dark and off as soon as it gets light.
A motion sensor is also built in. If this detects movement, the LED module illuminates at 100% brightness with an enhanced light colour for 30 seconds.
The light emits ambient light with a low colour temperature of 2,200 K. This colour temperature complies with recommendations from professional associations and scientific studies aimed at reducing the attractiveness of artificial lighting to many nocturnal insects.
If the Circula is integrated into a smart home system, both the brightness and the colour temperature can then be conveniently controlled via a smartphone. This requires a ZigBee-based bridge, such as the smik gateway from Paulmann, for which a free app is available. It can be purchased separately as an accessory, alongside various ZigBee handheld transmitters that allow for smart control even without a bridge. Alternatively, integration into ZigBee-compatible smart home systems from other providers is possible.
