Louis Poulsen Panthella – Designer table lamp

The beautifully designed Panthella table lamp with a fantastic lighting effect

The Panthella table lamp is made entirely of plastic and was produced using the injection-moulding process. The lampshade is made of opal white acrylic, so that the light emitted by the lampshade is not only reflected directly downwards but also gently diffused into the surrounding area through the material. This creates a very atmospheric lighting ambience. The Panthella table lamp is operated via a switch located on the power cable.

The Panthella table lamp was designed by Verner Panton (1926–1998), a Scandinavian designer who, unlike many of his contemporaries, was not afraid to experiment boldly with materials and colours in his designs. His aim was to challenge people, through his work, to use their imagination.

The lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen has set itself the goal of meeting the natural human need for light with products whose form is not an end in itself, but rather serves to give shape to the light they produce.
