Kartell Bloom CW2 ceiling light, clear, Ø 28 cm

As radiant as a crystal: the Bloom LED ceiling light by Kartell The countless tiny ‘blossoms’ made of transparent plastic – or, to be more precise, thermoplastic technopolymer – come together to form the spherical lampshade of the Bloom ceiling light. When the light is switched on, the ‘blossoms’ create a play of light reminiscent of crystals or glass stones. The Bloom model can be used as both a ceiling light and a wall light. Ferruccio Laviani, an Italian architect and designer who works as Art Director for the Milan-based company Kartell, designed the Bloom ceiling light. The design house Kartell became renowned for its innovative furniture, lighting and everyday objects made from plastic. Designer pieces, such as the K 1340 children’s chair, the KS1481 lemon squeezer or the 4032 Tic Tac light, have been created on behalf of Kartell since the company was founded in 1949 and are now considered modern classics.
