Ronde designer pendant light with decorative aluminium lampshade
This pendant light – designed by German designer Oliver Schick – visually reflects the aim of creating a product with a timeless character.
Its lampshade, which hangs from a textile cable, has an attractive, hood-like shape that tapers towards the socket area before widening again. The inside of the lampshade is painted white so that the light from the bulb is optimally reflected. Ronde is ideal for illuminating a dining table.
After studying product design at the HBK – University of Fine Arts and Design in Saarbrücken – Oliver Schick worked as a freelancer for several clients before founding his own studio in 2005. His work focuses on furniture design, lighting and interior design. In addition to the Danish manufacturer Gubi, which is responsible for the high-quality execution of the Ronde pendant light, Schick also works for Ligne Roset and Skandiform, among others.
