Pedrera ABC - designer table lamp with all-round radiance It is thanks to gallery owner Joaquim Ruiz Millet that the Pedrera series, which was designed by Barba Corsini in 1955 during the renovation of the Casa Milà in Barcelona, has been given a new lease of life. During the renovation of the building in 1991, he noticed a PD2 floor lamp, the design of which was adopted. Die Casa Milà - built by Antoni Gaudí between 1906 and 1912 for the Milà family - is an imposing building with a memorable appearance, characterised by an irregular façade and countless projections, as well as its overall massiveness. This is why the Casa Milà, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, is also popularly known as La Pedrera (the quarry). The cylindrical shape with the all-round perforation by ABC is inspired by the simple chimneys of the Casa Milà. With its timeless look, the table lamp makes the leap into modernity. Die Reediton is produced by the Danish company Gubi, which is known for its high-quality furniture and lights.
