Made from bamboo – Bhutan pendant light with double lampshade
Bamboo was used in the manufacture of the Bhutan. It is a sturdy, strong material that is particularly impressive due to its rapid growth and the large amount of oxygen it produces. Its flexible nature meant that the two lampshades of the pendant light could be hand-woven. This has created an attractive pattern that produces an atmospheric play of light as soon as the light from inside shines out into the room. The lampshades are constructed in two layers. Whilst the inner lampshade is narrow and tall and made from pure, natural-coloured bamboo, the outer lampshade is wide and short and also features black bamboo, which gives the light that certain something.
