Chouchin 3 Semi glass wall light by Foscarini A lampshade made of blown glass and a holder made of lacquered metal - these are the elements that make up the Chouchin 3 Semi wall light. In contrast to the other lights in the series, the body here is cut in half vertically and projects into the room in a semi-circular shape. The Chouchin light series was created by Ionna Vautrin, a French designer whose concepts are immediately understandable yet surprising. The inspiration for the design of the Chouchin luminaire series comes from traditional Japanese lanterns, from which the name of the Chouchin luminaire series is derived. While the lampshades in Japan are made of paper or bamboo, the lampshades in the Chouchin series from Foscarini are made of fine, blown opal glass. Ionna Vautrin, who opened her own design studio after various collaborations throughout Europe and after being awarded the "Grand Prix de la Création", designed the Chouchin light series for the Italian manufacturer Foscarini. Lights by Foscarini are decorative day and night, they surprise, inspire and influence the character of the room.
