Black Carpa pendant light with a special lighting effect The elegant Carpa pendant light has a simple yet exciting design. Its flat, semi-circular lampshade is open at the bottom, but the light can also be emitted in all other directions. This is made possible by the delicate mesh that forms the lampshade. A metal base frame provides the necessary support for the fine cotton threads, which give the shade a special, individual pattern and make it look like a weave in the overall appearance. The black canopy and black textile suspension harmoniously complement Carpa's appearance and make it a solid lighting object that can be integrated into numerous furnishing styles. A discreet bowl with a diffuser in the centre is mounted below the lampshade at a slight distance from the bulb (not included), which is held in place by delicate struts and directed upwards. The light shines directly onto the bowl and is partially reflected upwards, passing through the gaps in the mesh and creating a very special light pattern in the room. The light was designed by Jette Scheib, a designer who studied industrial design at the University of the Arts (Berlin) and later settled in Barcelona. She develops products for international companies specialising in home accessories and lighting and says that the most beautiful piece of furniture will never be comfortable without the right lighting. The founder of the French lighting company, Bernard Forestier, has made it the designers' mission to create objects with a strong identity that unite passion, freedom and discovery.
